Q: After installing Dr. Web I get a 'Blue Screen Of Death' on boot up - the blue screen may reference "spidermail.sys". Alternately, my Windows OS starts up correctly, but I get a blue screen when I try to launch the Dr. Web scanner from my desktop.

A: We have found this to be an issue with Nvidia based motherboards that run a raided hard drive, such as RAID 1. Although the exact cause is not yet known, removing the Nvidia motherboard drivers has been found to help. We understand that this is not possible in all cases, you are advised to contact DNS Texas support services for further troubleshooting if this particular FAQ applies to you.

S: This issue is currently under review at Dr. Web - DNS Texas is working with the manufacturer to resolve.

The developers of Dr. Web have been working with DNS Texas for many days working on a solution and the new version of the scanner addresses the issues listed above. Currently available in beta - full public release of new scanner expected shortly.
