DNS Texas supports many DirectPush or ActiveSync mobile devices. This particular article discusses how to setup an iPhone with the DNS Texas Microsoft Exchange 2003 mail servers. In this example, an AT&T iPhone "3G" version 3 is used. Your screen shots may vary slightly.

Choose "SETTINGS" on the main iphone menu.

Select "MAIL, CONTACTS, CALENDARS" from the menu.

Select "ADD ACCOUNT" from the menu.

Choose "MICROSOFT EXCHANGE" from the menu.

EMAIL : your email address as assigned by DNS Texas
DOMAIN : DNSTEXAS
USERNAME : your network logon name as assigned by DNS Texas
PASSWORD : your network password as assigned by DNS Texas
DESCRIPTION : <not important, can be anything you like>

Choose "NEXT" in the upper right corner.
iPhone will verify exchange information.

You will be prompted to enter a SERVER, enter "webmail.dns-tx.com" (without the " ")
Choose "NEXT" in the upper right corner.

iPhone will verify settings again, then prompt for what you would like to synchronize.

MAIL : if you want to sync your inbox, choose "ON"
CONTACTS : if you want to sync your address book, choose "ON"
CALENDARS : if you want to sync your calendar, choose "ON"
Choose "DONE" in the upper right corner.

Your new account will appear on the "MAIL, CONTACTS, CALENDARS" menu.
You can now exit the settings menu.

Choose "MAIL" from the main iphone menu, your account is now available and will remain in sync with your desktop computer and webmail (if DNS Texas mail enabled).
NOTE: By default, the mail will only synchronize the past 3 days of mail, you can change this on your iphone.
Under "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" choose your newly created account.
On the menu that appears, select "MAIL DAYS TO SYNC" - change it to your liking.
